Music Memoirs - Top 5 On Friday

Top Five Movie Soundtracks/Or Scores:

1) Pulp Fiction - All the songs are great but the best has got to be "You Never Can Tell" by Chuck Berry. It makes you wish that you were the one in the dance contest in the movie....well, as long as you are dancing with someone other than John Travolta...how about... dancing to this song in the movie with Keanu Reeves.

3) Valley Girl - One of my favorite 80s compilation cds. Josie Cotton, The Plimsouls, Sparks, Psychedelic Furs, etc. .....need I say more? And no, it doesn't have the song "Valley Girl" on it. This is a must have if you love 80s music.

4) Clueless - This was such a silly and cute movie with such a cute soundtrack. Fourteen tracks by various artists like Coolio (you remember from the movie...Rollin' With My Homies), Radiohead, Counting Crows, and of course World Party. I must say though my two favorite tracks are by Lightning Seeds with "Change" and Jill Sobule's "Supermodel".

5) Purple Rain - There are so many hits on this cd. Yeah, the movie was pretty weak but Prince's music totally makes up for that. He is a truly awesome musician.

6) Reality Bites - Great collection of songs from the early 90s. Fourteen tracks ranging from U2 to Squeeze. Of course, my favorite track is by World Party.

The Pulp Fiction soundtrack is so gret!

Your comment about the strange phone call I received is really insightful. Other people told me the same exact thing; she was probably making an excuse to call me. My sister was amused ;-)
